Concern Worldwide, Ireland’s largest humanitarian organisation, today announced it is hosting a concert in Dublin on Tuesday December 10th in association with Whelan’s music venue in Wexford St, Dublin, as a fundraising boost for the aid agency’s emergency response in areas of the Philippines devastated by Typhon Haiyan.
Entitled ‘Tunes for the Typhoon!’ acts confirmed so far include former Blink frontman Dermot Lambert, established Dublin bands The Indecent Cigar Emporium and The North Strand Kontra Band, plus two highly talented newcomers in Niamh Crowther and Laura Hughes, plus special guests. MC for the night will be the Deputy Editor of Hot Press music magazine, Stuart Clark.
Typhoon Haiyan, which struck the Philippines, was one of the strongest storms ever to hit land. Concern Worldwide has been working hard to ensure life-saving aid reaches the most vulnerable people. More info below.
