In April 2021, in an uncharacteristically quiet DeBarra’s folk club, songwriter John Spillane and novelist David Mitchell met. They spoke about music, digressed on folklore and mythology and went down the tangential paths that only conversations between artists do. These musings are interspersed with performances by John Spillane of songs from his new album ‘100 Snow White Horses’.
Ticket holders will get an exclusive link to watch this concert film. All tickets sold are a 50/50 profit split between the artist and the below venues. These venues and promoters have been without shows for over a year now. We have come together to create an avenue to support an important area of the industry that has been hit very hard during Covid. We look forward to performing in these great rooms again.

It all started with a feeling of relief. Just after midnight on New Year’s Eve, Alexandra Savior, who was six months out of a rocky relationship and appreciating her independence, sat down and wrote the song that would become “Crying All the Time.” The melodic, heart-rending ballad, she says, “is about how it feels to be in a relationship with a person who’s disappointed in you,” but it’s also a clarion call announcing the arrival of her sophomore album, The Archer, out DATETK. The dreamy, melancholy song, the first single from The Archer, feels at once classic and contemporary; it’s a torch song for a new generation.

On his debut album Exit Form, Scarypoolparty shares the contrast between beauty and brutality while effortlessly moving across genres. The music takes the listener on a sonic journey from the opening epic “Black Cross” to the soaring acoustic guitar mastery showcased on the closing “Out Loud”. Written and produced mainly by Alejandro Aranda(Scarypoolparty) & TJ Routon(Sawyr), Exit Form illuminates his undeniable originality on songs like Millennial Love—a relatable song that delves deep into the psyche of the dominance of social media and smart phones in our society. Another highlight is “Tonight” written and produced by Aranda & George Lewis Jr (Twin Shadow), a ballad that begins in hushed piano tones before shifting into much darker textures with elegant vocal work. That high-impact contrast also infuses “Cholo Love,” a pop track that merges Sawyr’s warped beats with Scarypoolparty’s sweeping piano work and soulful vocals.

DANI LARKIN ANNOUNCES IRISH ALBUM TOUR PLUS RELEASE DATE FOR DEBUT FOLK ALBUM ‘NOTES FOR A MAIDEN WARRIOR’
**
IRISH ALBUM TOUR WITH SINGULAR ARTISTS ANNOUNCED FOR AUTUMN 2021
ALBUM RELEASE DATE 18TH JUNE 2021
‘steadily emerging as a rising star on the Irish contemporary and alt folk scene’ – Irish Times
(Dublin, Ireland – 7th April, 2021) – Off the back of her Folk Alliance International live debut this past February, Ireland’s most exciting new alt-folk artist Dani Larkin plans to release her debut album Notes For A Maiden Warrior on June 18th 2021. The long-awaited debut album makes its final voyage, containing a collection of 10 tracks including reimagined album versions of popular tracks such as ‘Samson & Goliath’, ‘Bloodthirsty’ and ‘The Mother Within’ and promises to be one of the most exciting contemporary folk albums this year.
Along with the announcement of Dani’s debut album Notes For A Maiden Warrior, a headline Irish tour is announced. Taking place in Limerick, Galway, Dundalk, West Cork , Cork, Dublin, ending with a secret show in Belfast. Tickets will be available from Friday, 9th April at 10AM.
The album is centred around the concept of lessons on how to be a warrior, how to create change in this world by learning from stories of old and from other realms, and how to navigate life – love, death, suffering, pain, strength and kindness. It is not intended to be instructional; it is as a set of notes in song form.
Recorded in Halfbap Studios, Belfast and co-produced by George Sloan this debut album Notes for A Maiden Warrior formally cements Dani Larkin’s arrival onto the folk scene, and establishes herself as a contemporary folk artist to take notice of.
With live dates in the diary for SofFT Nights 2021, Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, Clonakilty Guitar Fest, Claremorris Folk Festival and a live album tour for Autumn 2021 promoted by Singular Artists, there is no corner of this island that you won’t be able to catch Dani Larkin live this year celebrating her debut album in full.
This album is being self-released digitally as well as physically on vinyl. Available to pre-order directly from Dani Larkin’s website www.danilarkin.com.
