THE FUTURE WEST

https://www.facebook.com/franciswattersandthefuturewest

With influences ranging from Daft Punk to At The Drive-In, Joy Division to Ennio Morricone. The Future West are a “Retro-Psych-Wave” 5 piece from Dundalk, Louth. Currently standing with a live show full of spontaneity and going the D.I.Y/Lo-Fi route, the band have just finished recording their debut album which was self-produced in their home studio. The record will be out March 2017 and will be backed by a run of UK shows. All past releases are currently available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and all other good streaming services.

“Gone Too Long has a much more atmospheric air than their debut single Call Me Stupid and showcases that The Future West are far from being a one trick pony and whets the appetite for their debut album arriving early in 2017.” – Frank Hughes, GoldenPlec.

“Gone Too Long could be a song found on Tarantino western soundtrack. You can easily imagine it being used for a slow motion scene with a hail of bullets.” Frank Hughes, GoldenPlec

“The track itself is a force loaded with velocity, from the swinging drums and rolling vocals it feels like you are being pulled back and forth with the rhythm the entire time, that might sound awful but it’s actually incredible fun in this instance.” – Remy Connolly on “Call Me Stupid”.

“…what The Strokes might have sounded like had they formed in 1979, I truly loved Watters’ vocal performance here, it’s infectiously happy and enchanting, yet with the band behind it they bring a strong punk vibe to proceedings.” – Remy Connolly on “Go Dog Go”.
