No gay pride weekend would be complete without a perormance by two of the most creative and entertaining members of the community at one of the best music venues in Dublin. That is why we are delighted to be presenting Zrazy who played to a full house in one of the best gigs of 2017. Their infectious blend of pop, groove and jazz had the audience on their feet.

Ireland’s Zrazy blissfully combine silky and searing vocals with a stunning musicality of mature soul, pop and jazz-electronica. Musically sophisticated and lyrically smart, Zrazy inhabit a unique place in Irish contemporary music. The garlanded song-writing team of vocalist Maria Walsh and pianist, saxophonist Carole Nelson boast a lengthy and critically acclaimed creative partnership that has recorded six albums and toured much of the world. Zrazy are a unique amalgamation of pop, jazz Funk and Celtic influences that have continued to radiate positivity and accumulate accolades throughout their 20-year career.

Zrazy’s list of accolades which include an array of global awards including the Out Music USA Award for Best Album with ‘Dream On’ and an Irish Gold disc for No1 smash hit single ‘Ooh Aah Paul McGrath’ (Italia ’90). This Irish Duo call to mind hints of Tracey Thorn, Young New Disciples, Brand New Heavies, Grace Jones, St. Germain, while retaining a unique Celtic soulfulness.

They will be playing tracks from their latest release The Art of Happy Accidents.

They are joined by Jennifer Hallahan on Bass making it an all-female line up which will make a great change!
