Will Butler is set to arrive in Europe in April 2015 bringing his first solo tour in support of his album “Policy”, including four shows in the UK and a show at Whelan’s in Dublin.
His first tour without Arcade Fire finds Butler, “playing arenas and giant fields with a 12 piece last summer, I’m really excited to fill small venues with a 4 piece. We’ll still be plenty loud.”
The tour will open in Holland on April 11th and stop in Belgium, Germany and France before arriving into the UK with shows in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and Scala in London. The tour will end in Dublin on April 25th.
All tickets will go on sale this Friday 30th January at 9am local time.
Will is due to release his debut album Policy on March 16, 2015 via Merge Records. A new track “Anna” will premiere on Zane Lowe’s BBC show this week – Anna follows “Take My Side” which Zane played last year.
Policy features in the NME’s albums of 2015, said Butler of the album. “Most of the songs are extremely bare – it’s hard to do something that bare with Arcade Fire”.
An album trailer http://youtu.be/NFwR9B1Ycfs is also available and more information will be released via Will’s website, on Facebook, and Twitter.
