WhelansLive is proud to present a celebration of new Irish music. Every Tuesday will see the upstairs venue play host to a series of the best of new music this country has to offer. Three hand-picked bands showcase their originality, performance and amazingly fresh songwriting skills. It is a great opportunity to see the next round of Ireland’s unsung and unsigned.

Taylors Lane is an indie –acoustic duo comprised of brother and sister Jackie and Shane Hennessy.
For the past year Taylors Lane have been performing their songs on guitar and ukulele in various
venues, all the way from The Three Birds Tavern in Florida USA, to The Twisted Pepper in their home
town of Dublin City.

Jackie and Shane write their own music, but also enjoy playing acoustic versions of songs by bands
of all genres ranging from blues to folk to just about anything really. Since he could talk Shane has
been singing and playing the guitar following in his father’s footsteps, and Jackie is no different. The
brother and sister started by singing songs around the kitchen table and as their harmonies and
guitar playing progressed the two found themselves venturing into different local bars and are now
playing many professional gigs each month. Taylors Lane have been heavily involved in the singer-
songwriter scene and can be found at just about any open mic night all around Dublin.

You can find more information about their upcoming gigs and music on their Facebook or on
Youtube by searching for Taylors Lane.
