Drag the kids out of the scratcher to not only listen to one of the best upcoming bands to come out of the UK this year but to educate them on what it is to hear complete and utter ‘organised chaos’.

From Aylesbury, The Repeat Offenders have been described as ‘the Stone Roses meets The Rolling Stones, with an Oasis attitude and a Richard Ashcroft vibe to even things out!’ Psychedelic, edgy and with vocals that swagger alongside classic indie rock ‘n roll guitar riffs, The Repeat Offenders are suiting up for a stormer of a show at Whelan’s.

Backed by Hofner Guitars, the band recorded their new EP, ‘Just Be Yourself’ once again with the kind permission of Mr Paul Weller at his BlackBarn Studios with Charles Rees at the controls.

Having sold out shows at The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham last year and Piebury Corner in London, supported The Rifles and are headlining shows in the UK, as Alec Baldwin once said, ABC (Always Be Closing) and we’re sure that’s what The Repeat Offenders will be doing at Whelan’s with your lugholes, July 30th.

Tom Meighan – (KASABIAN): “The Repeat Offenders are an up and coming band, who wouldn’t look out of place supporting Kasabian.”

Andy Bell (RIDE, OASIS, BEADY EYE): “The Repeat Offenders are a raw young band with something about them – Definitely ones to watch out for!”

Luke Crowther (THE RIFLES): “Banging new single from the repeat offenders ! This is the kind of music that inspires you to pick up a guitar and smash it round Pete Townsends amp!”

Ross Cummins(SYMPOSIUM): “The Repeat Offenders krank the kinda tunes you wanna hear on a Friday night, after a few beers when the world is yours and the night is young! Distinctly British, with mod attitude, tight, spiky guitars and big choruses that need to fill every indie disco.”

Described by BBC ATL as ‘Jangly rock and roll with attitude’, County Down band Parapa Palace have so far released their self-titled debut E.P on 22nd April 2015 followed by the critically acclaimed double single “Myopic/Visions” on 14th August 2015. Both are available to download via the bands bandcamp page.

Building a reputation for their intense and engrossing live shows, the Northern Irish rockers are going from strength to strength.

Since their live debut at The Menagerie Belfast in February 2015, the band have played several high profile shows including Belfast Voodoo, The Empire Music Hall and in June performed an instore gig in HMV Belfast. 2016 has so far seen the band back in the studio and working on new material, as well as playing showcase shows in McHugh’s basement and Dublin’s Bello Bar.

New single ‘Cruel Hands’ is available to download/stream from bandcamp now!

‘Hopefully Parapa Palace continue to provide their lush alt rock for a long time to come’ – Melanie

“With a well thought-out and distinctly individual style, catchy hooks and compelling vocals this is definitely a band I’d love to hear more from” LAURA

‘Melancholic indie rock that verges on spaced-out psychedelia, perhaps taking Trompe Le Monde era Pixies as inspiration. Dripping in attitude and creativity’ – BBC ATL
