The most amazing live band I have seen all year- bar none, end of! ‘- Tom Robinson, BBC 6Music

‘Ferocious intelligence, primitive abandon and excoriating tendencies! In troubled times, the world needs punk rock heroes -The Wood Burning Savages are punk rock heroes!’ -Stephen McCauley, BBC Radio Ulster

The Wood Burning Savages are a rip-roaring four piece with a taste for vitriol and a reputation for discord.

Formed in Derry city, Northern Ireland, the band is made up of Paul Connolly (Vocals/Guitar), Daniel Acheson (Bass), Aaron McClelland (Drums) and Shea Tohill (Guitar).

They’ve been lauded for their frenetic live show and twisted brand of pulsating riffs.

Their latest offering ‘We Love You’ is an impassioned cocktail of unrelenting drums and infectious guitars.

Their breezy intensity has been compared to the likes of The Clash, Death From Above 1979, Manic Street Preachers and Queens Of The Stone Age.

Having played the BBC Introducing Tent at Glastonbury, the band have went on to be selected to play BBC Radio Ulster’s 40th Anniversary Special from their hometown of Derry and Whelan’s Ones To Watch 2016.
