The idea behind Dublin Dance Society is essentially to provide a platform for young Irish electronic producers to perform their music to an audience after midnight. Much of the music these musicians make is intended for late night listening and dancing, and these events will aim to give such artists a place to make that happen. This is FREE gig, all you have to do is click attending on the event and your name will be down for the guestlist for Whelan’s for the night. Get down, support your scene, be a part of something.

Artists performing on the night:

/rKitt
rKitt is the solo project of Robbie Kitt. He makes emotional, deeply melodic house music. His influences range from Chicago house to Arthur Russell and all he wants to do is make you dance. Expect bouncing bass lines and a large volume of luscious synths.

/Soft Stone
Washed up on the shores of Bayside, this Dublin musician has been chipping away at it for years. Ethereal melodies balanced delicately with harder elements, his music will make you move and feel. Previously known as Mr. Big Bum, see it wiggle on the 24th.

/Ellenberger Trio
This is the first outing for a newly established group. With one member from Dublin, one from Cork, one from an undetermined location and featuring live percussion, Ellenberger Trio will alter your mind.
