My Pilot live Upstairs at Whelan’s on Friday the 15th of July with support from the fantastic Bill Blood. A late gig which kicks off at midnight (doors at 11pm). To gain ingress you must pay five euros.

my pilot is a band from dublin, ireland

they released their first EP, ‘spiders’, in november 2010. it got good reviews and sold in minimal quantities. if you own it you are a very special person.

the second my pilot EP, ‘hot blood’, came out in september 2011. additional mixing and mastering on hot blood EP was done by belfast hip-hop star defcon.

for winter, the long-awaited full-length debut album from my pilot, was released on 28th November 2013, with a launch gig in the underbelly (sweeney’s), dame street, dublin 2 that all present agreed was “well-attended”.

my pilot’s new mini-album (ie – too long to be an EP, not long enough to be a full album), called ‘welcome to ireland’ is out on the 8th of august 2015 as a free download fromwww.mypilot.bandcamp.com. or you can support the band by actually paying for it. whatever. it has songs about various aspects of life in ireland, hence the title. there’s a launch gig, too – in the bello bar, dublin 8 on the 8th of august. details here.
