Following extended stays in New York and London, rock singer/songwriter Jonathan Casey is firmly settled in Dublin. His debut album ‘The Opening Night’ is set to establish him as a key voice in Irish music and one which fans of U2, Coldplay and Radiohead have already welcomed. His songs are powerful and soulful, and have been featured in TV adverts and programmes broadcast by ITV, RTE and MTV and Nickelodeon. The album’s first single, ‘Whirlwind’, was used in a TV advert for Digicel across South America and the Caribbean. Ten years touring experience in Britain, Japan and the US, both with his own group and as vocalist and guitarist with David Cross (ex-King Crimson), have made Casey a strong performer, while his career as a composer has allowed him to work with the RTE Concert Orchestra and the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra. ‘The Opening Night’ is out June 11th and E4 will be running a TV advert campaign with Amazon and LYTE Records from June 7th.
