INTERSKALACTIC

https://www.facebook.com/interskalactic

Interskalactic have firmly marked their place as a truly unique festival and party favourite. Adding their modern big band flavour to first-wave, old-school Jamaican ska, Interskalactic have brought this infectious music that first exploded worldwide with celebrations of Jamaican independence in the ‘60s back into the live music scene of today!

Interskalactic are no strangers to having their audience dancing for two hours straight and still calling for more! Their upbeat set features covers from classic ska artists including The Skatalites, Byron Lee & the Dragonaires and Prince Buster, combined with their ska-ified versions of popular hits from the last few decades and more recently with their own original compositions!

With an incredible year behind them, Interskalactic are set to stay on this trajectory throughout 2016 and beyond!

THE CLICKS

https://www.facebook.com/theclicksband

The Clicks are a two-piece acoustic group comprising of Dublin singer-songwriters Keith O’ Brien and Shane Davis. Both Keith and Shane have gained a huge amount of experience in the past number of years performing original material in their respected bands. They have played in venues such as Whelans in Dublin, Crane Lane in Cork and Monroes in Galway, to name but a few.

The Clicks formed after Keith and Shane joined forces to co-write a Christmas track called ‘I’m Coming Home’. The track gained the number one spot on iTunes singer/songwriter charts and 66th in the overall Irish Charts, one of only 3 independent entries in the charts that week. The song managed to garner some media attention abroad, in Australia, the US and Canada along with various news outlets throughout Ireland, most notably a piece on RTE six ONE news and daily radio play on 2FM. The band was also invited into studio to play a live performance on RTE 2FM as part of the Colm Hayes Christmas special.

Early 2015 saw the digital release of ‘Time Goes By’, the band’s debut EP which was coupled with a sold out launch gig in The Cobblestone in Smithfield. ‘Time Goes By’ reached number 2 in iTunes Irish singer songwriter charts.

‘’The Clicks: earnest lyrics, a memorable melody, vocal sharing and note-perfect harmonies’’ Ian Martin – Golden Plec

‘’There is a quiet brilliance to this EP which makes it most alluring. It is hard to resist its melodic flair’’ David Jordan – Staff Writer at Pure M magazine

‘‘Time Goes By’ is a quality EP with fantastic vocals and harmonies from two of our fantastic songwriters’’ Peter Nagle – Ceol Collective

The duo are currently recording their debut album, which is due to be released in late 2015/early 2016, while continuing to play venues around the country.
