A regular on the Cork music scene, Billy Kennedy released his first full length album ‘This Old Life’ in June of this year to much critical acclaim. Niall Toner of RTE Radio 1 called it “top notch and superb”, while Neil Prendeville of 96 fm described the album as “one of the best things around”. This September 9th he plays with his band upstairs at Whelan’s. The band features Cormac O Connor on bass and keys, Mick O Hagan drums and ukulele, plus Ann Barry vocals.
