SYLK

https://www.facebook.com/sylksounds/ SYLK are a dark distorted electro-pop duo based in Ireland. The female duo are visually intense and lyrically dark. SYLK began their musical journey with the release of ‘Am I Alone’, followed by their acclaimed EP ‘nwyr’, which led to standout appearances at Forbidden Fruit Festival, Body & Soul, Hard Working Class Heroes, Whelan’s Ones to Watch, BD Festival, as well as headlining the legendary Button Factory. Ireland’s foremost music blogger, Nialler9, described them as an exciting “cross between Massive Attack and FKA Twigs”, and the premiere Irish music magazine Hot Press classing the duo as ‘having already established a reputation for themselves as being a darkly mysterious, neon-soaked duo. SYLK are doing everything musical to establish themselves as an emerging Irish act.’ — — — — —

ELIZABETH MOEN

https://elizabethmoen.com/ Elizabeth Moen was raised in small town of the Midwest and went to the University of Iowa for teaching, international business, and French. With a full school schedule and three part-time jobs, she would still find time to go to open mics and sing covers with her guitar. Late September of 2015, she quit her jobs and began songwriting. She has since taken the scene by storm in the Midwest. With the release of her first vinyl LP in 2017, Moen toured solo and with her in band on regionally, the West coast, Europe, and is set to release her second vinyl LP in Ireland this August and the United States in September. — — — — —

MAIJA SOFIA

https://www.facebook.com/maijasofiamusic/ “Balancing self fulfilled youthful wonderment and old soul whispers, Maija Sofia is sure to prosper with her eclectic whimsies, dark in spaces, otherworldly at others and rooted in alt folk pop. Or “witchery”, as she would say. Small Irish village foundation and big city London cultivation, Sofia shows that refreshing ideas and sounds can come from the smallest of places. Her tracks are intelligently fanciful tales, trippy enchantments and enjoyable playful jaunts from a true recessed corners dweller of a story teller. Sofia’s amazing and certainly mesmerizing EP with Ferdia (MacAonghusa) called Sentient Light marvels in the tradition of Irglová and Hansard’s Swell Season and dazzles sweetly.” -Global Texan Chronicles, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgkkCp_quBg
