“ailie. – Double A-Side Release Show”

Leitrim singer-songwriter, Ailie Blunnie, releases two singles from her much-anticipated forthcoming début album, West to the Evening Sun (Nov 2017).

Featuring urban-celtic grooves in the shape of ‘There is No Sound’ and characteristic mystic sensuality in ‘And So to Sleep’, the double A-side showcases textural richness and deft musicianship, qualities we can expect to hear more of in the imminent début album.

Joined by Róisín Blunnie (keyboards/vocals), Aideen Rickard (trombone/vocals), and Eoghan Regan (electric guitar)

From Leitrim, Ailie Blunnie grew up on the banks of the Shannon: a playground of lakes and woodlands, and a stone’s throw from the rugged coastlines of North Leitrim and Sligo.

She studied music at NUI Maynooth (BA Music/French; M.Litt Music) and psychology at DBS (H.Dip Psych) and now lives in Dublin where she writes songs, continues to study psychology, and takes a keen interest in all things science and astronomy.

She releases her début album, West to the Evening Sun, in November 2017.
