Able Archer release new EP “The Trouble with Strangers” with new single The Descent out November 3rd.

Following their critically acclaimed debut “Bullets” – Able Archer are back with a bang with their new EP, The Trouble with Strangers. Recorded and mixed with Shane Cullen at K9 studios, the band build on the dark, synthy rock sound of their debut – this time adding strings and brass along with subtle samples and loops.

Lead vocalist, Emmet McCaughey says “I think on our first record we were finding our feet. Making this record we just felt a lot freer and we wanted to show our range”.

From the opening screams of Ghostmaker, to the sheer pop of The Warden, the rocking Only Love and finishing with an epic crescendo in The Descent, The Trouble with Stranger brings Able Archer to new heights and showcases the band’s depth and vision.

Brace yourself.

“… (Ghostmaker) is a belter of a tune” John Barker, 98fm

“Ghostmaker leaves you exhausted and basking in another irrepressible slice of Able Archer excellence” RingMaster Review, London

“Sounds of an early U2” Ian Dempsey, Today FM

Ghostmaker; Tune of the day – “High energy rock with well placed softer indie/pop moments” 2 U I Bestow (Blog of the month, Guardian Nov 2013)
