ROOT CELLAR

ROOT CELLAR

+ COLUM FAGAN

Root Cellar is a four piece irish band and the upcoming whelan’s gig will be the band’s very first show in Dublin. All members are based in Dublin and have played in various bands over the last few years. Lead singer Micheál, performed as singersongwriter Marzroche and has had the  privilege of playing in Whelans mainstage on a couple of occasions as a solo artist and with his band.

Root Cellar’s style of music is drawn from folk and soft rock but with a very modern and cutting edge approach to production,  mixing and song craft. Early 70’s american singer/songwriter style has been a big influence with the likes of Tom Petty, Jackson Brown and more modern bands and artists such as David Gray. The band are currently working on a debut album and playing a small selection of shows. You can follow Root Cellar on twitter and on facebook where there are exclusive free downloads for the first 50 followers.

Support on the night is by singer songwriter Colum Fagan.
