With close to 100.000 likes on Facebook Rachael Yamagata is one of the best accepted musicians…but still sort of a best-kept-secret. With a brand new album under her belt and world wide shows in Asia, US/Canada and Europe, 2015 might be her breakout year. Rachael Yamagata plays shows in the biggest venues of Singapore, Seoul and Taiwan end of May/early june this year. Especially in South Korea, Rachael is celebrated as superstar. After returning home she tours in June the US with David Gray and Amos Lee. The new full-length album is scheduled for August 2015 – working title: “Tightrope Walker”. The album is again produced by John Alagia, best know for his work with the likes of Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Liz Phair and John Mayer…among many others. “Tightrope Walker” was the first song from the new album which Rachael sang on her acoustic only Germany Tour in February 2015, with 8 shows in 9 days among them sold-out shows e.g. in Berlin. The main phrase from this song was like a hymn and a commitment too „…and I do it and I do it and I do it again…“. And she’s doing it again: this time with a full band.
