Showcasing the best new talent in Ireland & beyond. — — — — — With a love of all things Drum and Bass, WOB! translate the DJ-led genres of DnB and Jungle to an instrument driven live band setting. Stephen (synths) and Djollie (drums) have been keeping Ireland at the forefront of this emerging scene since 2013 with their constantly evolving performances. The Dublin duo have extensively toured across Ireland, and also had notable performances at major Irish festivals including Electric Picnic and Body&Soul. WOB! held a monthly residency in The Mercantile Venue in Dublin, where they connected the analogue and digital worlds under the same roof. Each event saw new artists (including DJs, musicians, dancers, MCs and VJs) improvising with WOB! on stage. Determined to change the Dance scene in Ireland, WOB! are making waves in 2016. Debut EP ‘MOVE!’, was released on 14th of May to widespread critical acclaim. The project was crafted through a hybrid approach to music production, experimentally combining the live performance of a band with the techniques of electronic music producers. Just after a busy festival season, Dublin Live Drum & Bass duo are back as Winners of ‘The Best Band Name of Electric Picnic 2016’ Award by The Irish Times. Ireland’s only Live Drum and Bass Band went to explore Latin American music, and created an eclectic mix of Brazilian Samba, Bossa Nova, and Drum’n’Bass, called SAMBASS. While this is a regional sub-genre of drum and bass music mostly native to Brazil, it will sure place your mind in a chill out zone while your body goes wild, no matter where you are. And that is not all. While Official Remixes of popular Irish acts are set to be released before end of 2016, try to catch WOB! live and see why are they getting notorious for High-Energy shows, you will leave lighthearted!
