Hermitage Green are an acoustic folk-rock group from Limerick. Formed in 2010, they quickly built up a large following through social media and relentless touring. In spite of any mainstream attention, their debut EP ‘The Gathering’ reached number 1 in the Irish iTunes charts in September 2012. Buoyed by this chart success and an increasing number of sell-out shows, the band undertook a world tour taking in Europe, Australia, the U.S., the Middle East and South Africa.

The band though reluctant to categorise themselves, blend the narrative elements of bluegrass and traditional Irish music, with an arpeggio style owing as much to classical music as it does to heavy metal. Their curious arrangement of instruments carried with fast-paced African percussion and four-part vocal harmony, give Hermitage Green a distinctive live sound, helping them to captivate audiences the around the world.

After a busy summer of festivals for the band, production on their highly anticipated debut album is set to begin in the autumn, with an intended release early in 2014.
