Gráinne Cotter is a Pop-Jazz- alternative artist to look out for this year as she hits the Irish and Uk circuit with her debut album “TIDES”.
Gráinne stems from a background of a variety of genres with musical experience a plenty. She is a Clare native fiddle player and professional singer-songwriter who accredit her powerful lyrics to her Parisian adventures. Having derived from an Irish music family she was very surprised to discover a love of Jazz and song composition in University, and was given the opportunity to study in Berklee College Boston for a summer. Having returned to Ireland from a summer in Paris, Gráinne moved to the culture hub of Galway and set up a talented group who then assisted her in her ambition of creating an album of her work. Following the release of her new Album TIDES she has been added to the RTÉ 1 recommended playlist and has been played by presenters such as John Creedon, Ronan Collins and Lilian Smith. She continued her album tour in Galway, Clare and Sligo and looks forward to touring both Ireland and Germany in the coming months.
