Taking a break from work on her third album, Wexford wonder Wallis Bird returns to Ireland for a short solo acoustic summer tour finishing up at Whelan’s on 9th May.
Tickets for Dublin are priced €23 including booking fee and are on sale now.
This Irish tour will showcase a different side to her extraordinary talents. 2010 was a whirlwind for Wallis – 90 shows in 10 countries, zig-zagging across Europe with her immaculate band; and bagging a Meteor for best Irish Female along the way.
Now she’s breaking out of the studio in Germany, where she’s deep into recording the follow up to the widely acclaimed ‘New Boots’; and coming back to her home patch to road test some new material and play some old favourites in the intimate environs of:
Wednesday 4th – SET Theatre, Kilkenny
Thursday 5th – Newgrange Hotel, Navan
Friday 6th – The Arts Centre, Wexford Town
Saturday 7th – Cyprus Avenue, Cork
Sunday 8th – Roisin Dubh, Galway
