Villagers are quite simply one of the most accomplished and original acts that Ireland has yet produced and we are thrilled to be a hosting an intimate show in Whelan’s on Tuesday 13th November.
A beautiful sweeping song which kick starts into life with an electronic pulse and builds to a dramatic string laden climax, The Waves is the first piece of music to
be released from the follow-up to Villagers’ Mercury-nominated and Ivor Novello Award winning debut, Becoming a Jackal, details of which are to be announced soon.
The video accompanying The Waves was directed by Alden Volney and mirrors the song perfectly; watch it here.
The Waves is available to purchase now through i-tunes HERE (RUG488D1) and will be released on special limited edition 7” (RUG488) on 22nd October 2012. The 7” single, limited to an edition of 500 worldwide, comes on heavy weight vinyl in a deluxe fold out cruciform sleeve.
