TRIGGER AND THE HITMEN

Trigger and The Hitmen

Having spent the summer traveling the highways and by-ways of Ireland in support of their debut album “What Tiger”, Trigger & the Hitmen have their sights set firmly on Dublin. The group will bring their much lauded live show to the home of Irish music, Whelan’s of Wexford St. Dublin 2 this coming Friday the 23rd of August.

This well-travelled group of musicians formed in 2010 and are led by the Peadar “Trigger” Farrelly who is the group’s front man and chief songwriter. For back up trigger has The Hitmen who consist of seasoned musicians Richie “Gingy” Farrelly (vocals & guitar), Francis McGinn (bass guitar), Eoin McDonnell (mandolin), Cormac O’Keeffe (electric guitar) and keeping the posse in check Aiden Carolan on drums.

Fresh from having played the Lunasa festival in Sligo in early August and having earlier rocked the Spiegeltent as part of the hugely successful and well received “Navan Artists in the Round” evening the six piece folk rock ensemble are very excited to bring their live show to Whelan’s of Wexford St., this venue is well renowned as being the home of Irish music and provides the ideal environment for the group to showcase their talents.

Admission on the night is €5 euros with support taking to the stage at 8.45 and the headline act commencing at 9.45. The group are also organising a return bus for fans that will leave the Fair Green Navan at 7pm this Friday the 23rd of August to return later that night.
