Playing ‘Irish Tour ‘74’

Keeping Rory Gallagher’s memory alive!

Rory Gallagher’s seminal ‘Irish Tour ‘74’ album is seen by many to be the pinnacle of the great man’s creativity and explosive energy.

Now, for the first time ever, a tribute band is daring to try to re-create the atmosphere and driving passion behind the music. On some of the tracks Barry Barnes will be playing faithful note for note re-creations of the album, with Jan Sperehake (Germany) providing Lou Martin’s great piano work.

On other numbers the guys are going to keep the format loose so that each night of the performance is different (As it was with Rory) On all the tracks the music will be pinned down by the powerhouse rhythm section of Jonny Brutal on drums and Nick Skelson on bass.

The night will be rounded off by all the Rory favourites from his huge repertoire (Until the band get dragged off!) so a great night is in prospect!

The recent, and tragic death of Lou Martin has hit the Rory world hard – Lou, we are dedicating this tour to your memory.
