We’ve got a cracking line up for the 11th edition of Reflektor @ Whelan’s with The Fontaines, along with the return of League of Nation. We’ve no doubt that this will be one of the best nights we’ve had so far with stellar performances on show from both bands!

The Fontaines are a five-piece, Dublin based band influenced by 80’s British Alternative and Rock n’ Roll. With over 4000 plays on Soundcloud and the plan to release an EP in 2015, these guys are rapidly making waves on the Irish music scene. We’re delighted to welcome them to the upstairs stage at Whelan’s so be sure to get down and catch their set!

Having witnessed these guys perform at Reflektor #4 we decided we had to have them back again! League of Nation have an instantly likeable sound to their music who claim they are ‘no nonsense pop rock’.

Take a look at their new music video for ‘Guess Again’ which received a very complimentary Twitter status from Dean Norris of Breaking Bad!

Also upstairs we’ll have our resident DJ on before and after the band, playing the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, The Naked and Famous, Gorillaz, etc

We’ll also be taking over the front bar in Whelan’s where our DJs will be playing everything from classic pop to old school jams. Expect all your favourites from 80s, 90s and 00s! Think the best house party playlist you can imagine and that’s the vibe!
