Having spent the last year realeasing 2 singles all with glowing reviews and national airplay, supporting there hereos Aslan in Vicar Street doing 2 tours in the UK one of which they were invited by non other than Alan Mc Gee (Creation Records) the band will do their first headline show in Dublin this year in Whelans and will then be on the festival circuit both here in Ireland and the UK for the summer.

The singles Harmony and Sign On which were released last year which got some major interests from labels both in the UK and US including the press.

Amazing puppet video for Penrose’s ‘Harmony’ Irish five-piece Penrose demonstrate why they’ve been variously compared to The Beatles, ELO and Richard Ashcroft on ‘Harmony’, which is lifted from their debut Live For The Dream EP. There’s also a big bang of Oasis off the track, which should be fast-rotated immediately by Ireland’s radio station.Stuart Clarke, HP

“With an opening riff that evokes memories of The Clash’s London Calling, the new single from Penrose is also blessed with a chorus so contagious it hurts.” Mark Kavanagh

Penrose have had some great support from the likes of Today FM and RTE 2fm and were also picked from over 400 bands to appear at last years Sea Sessions Festival.
