Aiken Promotions presents
MAMA KIN & JENN GRANT
Two world-class songstresses, Mama Kin (Aus) and Jenn Grant (Canada) unite under one roof in Whelan’s, Dublin 29th April 2014.
Australian soulstress and ARIA nominee Mama Kin is part raconteur and all-out entertainer. Her bittersweet melodies soar with stomping piano and swampy beats, all the while traversing the riotous, the raw and the intimate.
Mama Kin’s critically acclaimed album The Magician’s Daughter, released in Ireland on 25th April, is set to firmly solidify her worldwide reputation as a purveyor of foot-stomping bass lines and ballads of open-hearted tenderness.
Mama Kin has shared stages nationally and internationally with the likes of Ani di Franco, John Butler Trio, The Cat Empire and The Waifs. As mischievous as she is charming, Mama Kin is renowned for her stirring live shows, where storytelling, intimacy and community reign.

Jenn has also collaborated on several tracks with fellow Canadian, experimental artist, MC and Turntablist, Buck 65. Jenn’s forthcoming EP is set for release this April.
