FRANCESCA MARTINEZ

+ Guests

Francesca performed the show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2011 where she received rave reviews across the board, played to packed houses and won a Fringe Network Award. The show was also a hit in Australia earlier this year where she completed a 52-date tour of Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne.

Francesca has mild cerebral palsy (she prefers to call herself ‘wobbly’) and is one of the UK’s top comedians. Her unique brand of comedy is both universal and hard-hitting, challenging perceptions and preconceptions. The show is ‘hilarious and deeply moving… one of the finest pieces of writing on the Fringe’ ***** (Metro 2011).

Francesca is well-known for her starring role in ‘Extras’ opposite Kate Winslet and Ricky Gervais. She has toured internationally with sell-out performances in Hollywood, New York, Montreal, Dublin, Cape Town, Singapore, KL and at the World Economic Forum in Davos, alongside Emma Thompson.

Francesca was Richard Herring’s special guest on his Radio 4 series “Richard Herring’s Objective” last Autumn which received an unprecedented amount of praise and was chosen for “Pick Of The Week” on Radio 4.
