WAYS OF SEEING

WAYS OF SEEING

plus support

Whelan’s Upstairs • Sat 28th February 2026

‘Idolise’ marks Ways of Seeing out as a band to watch in 2025. Fantastic. – Paul Page (Whipping Boy)

Bio:

Cork band Ways of Seeing developed from the idea that songs could reveal parts of the self that might otherwise never have surfaced.

Influenced by Irish rock bands of the past such as Microdisney, Whipping Boy, The Radiators from Space and Rollerskate Skinny, their music blends elements of shoegaze and post-punk with a brooding, intellectual edge.

A sellout performance at Whelan’s in 2024 built on a headline show at Mike The Pies and support slots to bands such as The Frank and Walters. Whatever the stage, fourpiece Ways of Seeing have always proven a force to be reckoned with when seen live.

Having just released their urgent debut single “Idolise” from their sophomore album (produced by Christian Best and mixed by Daniel Fox) which is set for release in the coming months, 2025 is the year Ways of Seeing come to the fore.
