TUNG IN CHEEK
plus support
Whelan’s Main Venue • Fri 25th August 2023
4-piece indie-rock outfit Tung in Cheek are returning to Whelans main-stage for a farewell gig. The band have enjoyed great success over the past years following the release of various singles and their recent “Knockoffs & Dummies” EP which saw them perform this summer at Dublin, Galway, Cork, Wicklow and London in support of the release. The EP received critical acclaim from many prominent media bodies, with airtime on radios in Ireland, UK and USA. Their most recent Dublin headline show at the Workman’s Club in May packed out the venue and saw the band gather real momentum. They have performed across many top venues, with some features at festivals and showcases such as Ireland Music Week. The band consists of Andy Burke (vocals & guitar), Eoin O’Shea (lead guitar & backing vocals), Gavin Dunne (bass), & Chris Brady (drums & backing vocals). The band’s members are moving abroad for the foreseeable future and will be taking to the stage one final time at Whelans 25th August to bring an end to the TIC era.
