“The Asha Ari Affair”, a soulful, healing and intimate evening.
Asha Ari, a staple on the Irish music scene, is nothing short of a powerhouse. Half Ghanaian and half Irish, she has been actively performing since her teens. Her music combines elements of Pop, Soul and RnB. Her songwriting inspirations stem from growing up bi-racial, self-love, self-belief, spreading positivity and being true to oneself.
Her vocal prowess and unique sound do what music should: transcend borders and boundaries. Earlier this year, she released “God’s Hands” with Aziz Ozouss, a wonderful fusion of Irish and Moroccan musical styles.
The Asha Ari Affair will follow Asha Ari’s journey bringing us to where she stands today. It is a celebration of her identity, her artistry, her roots.
The show is an invitation to join her as she shares her story from the very beginning: about growing up in Ireland, being a woman, a mixed race woman and an artist. The joys, the challenges, the in betweens. She will be performing her songs from day one to today, including unreleased tracks.
Anyone who has seen Asha Ari perform walks away with the same impression, her music overflowing with empowerment, honesty and vulnerability, brings people together.
