Ahead of the release of his highly anticipated EP, Skull The Pierre, The Big Bad Gay Wolf, The Lovin’ Viking, The Bald Beatle, The Shapeshifter, The Storyteller, embarks on a new era as he announces his second headline show in Whelan’s Main Room on March 21st. It’s all a part of the story, and you can be a part of it too.

Crowned as one of the most unique and authentic voices in the scene, the rising LGBTQ star has been receiving recognition and support from some of the biggest names in the music industry, such as Radio X and Amazing Radio in London, Nialler 9, Dan Hegarty, Claire Beck, Kieran McGuinness, GoldenPlec, Vamp & Fade, The ECHO, Pete Murphy, 2XM, John Barker, and more.

Pierre Miguel Fonseca aka Skull The Pierre is a Dublin-based musician, and overall creative Swiss army knife from Stockholm. With a knack for the infectiously catchy and the brutally honest, he specializes in Melodic, Alternative Hip-Hop. He headlined and sold out his first show in Dublin in 2021 at The Workmans Cellar, and has been gigging in venues like The Workmans Club, Opium, The Grand Social, The Sound House, The Button Factory, and The Bernard Shaw consistently since. He supported Bricknasty in The Lighthouse in 2021.

Skull The Pierre is also the owner of the phrase “I’m a professional homosexual” from his song “ALL MY LOVE”. This sound has amassed over 1.6 million views on TikTok, with more than 350 users incorporating it into their videos.

Skull The Pierre paired up with Bulmers and Extra.ie for Sounds From The Secret Orchard Sessions on the 1st of March along talents like Bobbi Arlo and Tebi Rex. The Skull later performed on the Bulmers stage at Body & Soul on the 16th of June and went on to -along acts like Shiv and Rachel Mae Hannon- support Kojaque on the 9th of September in Clonmel in Bulmer’s Secret Orchard.

His recently-released album ‘LABUM’, was released on 17th February 2023 and garnered some 6,000 streams on Spotify alone upon release. The release was marked by a fully-attended launch party at Crow Bar in Dublin. He was accompanied by Bricknasty’s rhythm section and performed several songs from the album. In addition to his performance, he sold out his limited, hand-painted merchandise. He also offered posters and handmade books for sale, featuring trivia, lyrics, and personal thoughts aimed at enhancing the overall listening experience.

Quote from Pierre:

“LABUM to me is creation itself, it is self-expression, and it’s a celebration of life. With each song the projects got larger, the production got more experimental, and so did the mixing and recording. Everything from fidget spinners to genitals has been recorded on LABUM. LABUM to me is my masterpiece, it is my Pet Sounds, my Seargent Peppers, but most importantly it’s a time capsule, it’s something for me to be especially proud of when I’m 80 and reminiscing.”

More recently, Skull has released two singles, the hard-hitting and rugged ‘200g of protein’ and the Pop/Reggeaton/Rap club banger ‘Una Noche Más’. The former received 2,000 streams on Spotify two days after its release. It’s evident that Pierre’s momentum is on the rise, and he’s become a prominent figure in the vibrant Dublin music scene.

Looking ahead, Skull has exciting plans down the pipeline. He’s gearing up for a second headlining show in the Whelans main room in Q1 2024. Additionally, he has an EP in the works, featuring collaborations with some of the city’s hottest talents, scheduled for release in June. Skull’s journey is being facilitated by Neon Agency, opening doors to a series of festival performances. The buzz around him continues to grow, making him a rising star to watch in the music industry.
