Singer-songwriter Robert John Ardiff is delighted to return to Whelan’s with his band ‘The Catholic Guilt’ in support of his latest studio album: The Corridors of Love.
His music has had over 10 million streams on Spotify and has featured on the Amazon original TV series, Modern Love. He has toured extensively around Ireland in addition to playing shows in Europe, The UK and The USA. His sophomore album ‘The Corridors of Love’ is out now.
“You’ll be hard pushed to find a more elegant album this year than Robert John Ardiff’s second solo album ‘The Corridors of Love’. It’s a masterful affair that examines and lays bare the human condition, with a musical palette that touches all the emotional bases in the most beguiling, uplifting and thought-provoking ways.” – John Loftus, Golden Plec
“Like a well-worn paperback novel found in some backstreet bookshop, crumpled and dog eared from reading, The Corridors of Love has hidden stories to tell. Indeed, Robert John Ardiff’s sophomore offering is built from experiences, tales, and perspectives put through his own prism.” – The Last Mixed Tape
“There’s a creative sense of displacement and disquiet throughout the album, along with guerrilla snippets of musique concrete that root many of the songs. Tracks such as Hare Upon the Wind, Tightrope Walker and Break Upon the Waves (among others) display the contrasting measures of frailty and buoyancy that so many people have experienced in the past 15 months, with Ardiff managing to articulate such askew modifications with no unnecessary drama.” – Tony Clayton Lea, The Irish Times
