Let’s Set Sail tastefully blend acoustic and synthetic textures to produce well crafted electronic folk-pop songs. These songs contain honest, relatable lyrics that often permeate the music with a distinctly Dublin flavour.
They released their latest 5-track EP, Enzo, at the end of 2021 to strong acclaim both in Ireland and abroad. These slow-building, synth-heavy compositions form an undeniably compelling collection of ambient vignettes. Frontman Warren McCarthy’s distinctive vocal style combines uniquely with vocalist Marian Hughes’s elegant harmonies, Ian Dunphy’s atmospheric electronics and pianist Rob Molumby’s skilful musicianship, creating a mesmerising sound as a result. They are currently working on their debut album, and will be performing some of these new songs for the first time at this gig.
Let’s Set Sail’s passionate delivery of their textured soundscapes makes for a very compelling live performance for those looking for a heartfelt, immersive musical experience.
