Haiku will be blasting out their unique fusion of rock and west african sounds Oct 20th upstairs in Whealns,The first concert of a small Irish and Spanish tour promoting “Flood ” their new single from their upcoming debut album

This is the first concert in Ireland since 2019.Tommy Moore (leader, bass , vocals) and Cote Calmet ( Drums) have been living in Granada Spain where the band has continued to play with other members.

This is the return of the original line up with one spanish member ,Guitarist “Mario Alonso ”  and backing vocals ” Filipa Quintinio ” joining the group for a new perspective.

HAIKU is deeply rooted in the trance-like hypnotic rhythms of West Africa combined with the drive of alt-rock. Their dance party brings together Tool, Peter Gabriel, and Radiohead to mingle with Ali Farka Touré, Tinariwen, and world music from around the globe.

Haiku channels the near-religious experience of mesmerizing ancient music and fuses it with modern sounds and song-writing.

“A courageous exploration into the world of West African Music” – Afel Bocoum (Ali Farka Touré,Damon Alburn)

“Exciting and Unusual” – Declan O’Rourke (#1 Irish Album)

“I love the beautiful melodies and intricate guitar work” – Julie Feeney (#1 Irish Album)“This is my s**t” – Mik Pyro (Republic of Loose #1 Irish Album)

Haiku landed impressive supporting slots for Vulfpeck’s Cory Wong, jazz-funk pioneer Roy Ayers, and Forq (Snarky Puppy).
