Fresh off the back of their sold out gig in the Academy, Chewie’s next headline show will take place in Dublin’s iconic Whelan’s on Good Friday, April 3rd 2026.
Chewie’s live shows are perhaps best described as one huge energy exchange between the band and crowd, with their performances being matched at every turn by crowdsurfing fans and singalongs almost as loud as the band playing through the venue’s PA system. Chewie have built a strong community of loyal and likeminded fans over the years, and this is clearly evidenced by how good-natured and caring the crowds at their gigs are, regardless of how rowdy things can get when the music starts.
This show marks the return of Chewie’s “Really Good Friday” gig series, an event held annually on Good Friday ever since the nationwide drinking ban was lifted in 2018, which gives this all the potential to be a seriously unforgettable night for both the band and fans alike.
