Sisters and multi-instrumentalists Méabh and Mella Carron formed their namesake band as a healing project during a period of intensive hospital treatment in 2015. Alongside guitarist, violinist, and co-writer Darragh McGrath, the trio have established themselves with a string of impressive releases, extensive Irish airplay, and critically-acclaimed performances across Ireland.

CARRON launched their latest single ‘Right Time’ to critical-acclaim at a headline show at The Sound House in March 2023. Featured by Stellar Magazine, Gloss, Nialler9, The Last Mixed Tape, Pure M, The Goo, Hot Press and more, as well as receiving nationwide Irish radio support from Today FM, 98FM, FM104, Red FM, TIpp FM + more) the track is reaching new heights for the band ahead of a busy summer season and album set for release in early 2024.

With a genre-bending style that has been likened to Florence and the Machine, Fleetwood Mac, and First Aid Kit, and a celtic lilt akin to The Cranberries or Sinead O’Connor, CARRON’s latest offering has targeted a more contemporary pop sound while retaining their Irish roots, incorporating wider soundscapes and string instrumentation that reflects their heritage.

“The sisters’ voices scream ‘Celtic Disney princess’ – Hot Press

“Super-polished vocals recall Stevie Nicks and The Corrs’ – Sunday Independent

“Their soulful, organic-sounding harmonies and lyrically intense melodies have been brewing since birth” – Dublin Gazette
