Illuminate is an Indie-Pop/Electronic collaborative single from BENJAMYN & Brí. With lush vocals and synths over heavy-hitting beats, Illuminate demands your attention while it expresses an optimistic view on the uphill battles we all face in life. The pair worked together virtually to write and record the song from their respective setups, with BENJAMYN producing it in his Electronic style.
Releasing on BlueTide in June, with a follow-up show from BENJAMYN & Brí in Whelan’s on July 14th, Illuminate will make its live debut alongside solo material and live sets.
About BENJAMYN:
Ben Hogan (aka BENJAMYN) is a Dublin based singer-songwriter and electronic music producer creating his own blend of Indie, Dance, and Electronica. In February of this year, BENJAMYN released his debut album FLOW, along with his new live set which premiered at the album launch party on a barge in Dublin.
The 28 year old multi-instrumentalist has been performing since he was a child, experimenting with musical styles ranging from Indie Rock and Acoustic Folk to Funk and Hip-Hop – eventually synthesising into the electronic style that he calls his own today. He obsesses over combining electronic and organic sounds, and creating emotional yet energetic moments.
To date his releases have amassed coverage from blogs, playlists, and radio stations across Ireland and beyond, with Jenny Greene championing the album on RTE 2FM. He has played numerous shows around Dublin since launching the project in 2018, including a sold-out headline in Whelan’s in 2022, where he showcased new singles ahead of announcing his album. There’s more to come this year with collab tracks like Illuminate, remixes, new singles, and live performances.

“I was buzzing to work with Brí on this track. It all came about so naturally after she heard an earlier version of the beat, and when we spoke I knew she would be perfect for it. Once we started writing the song together it really came into its own. I think we both felt the same vibe from the beginning, and I leveraged our ideas with the production as best I could. I can’t wait for people to hear it and feel like they’re lighting up.”
About Brí:
Brí is an Irish, Dublin-based indie pop artist from Offaly. Shortly after releasing her debut track, she sold-out her Whelan’s headline show, was selected to perform at Beatvyne’s Music X Tech Experience, Whelan’s Ones to Watch, The Ruby Sessions and headlined The Sound House and Spirit Store.
With the release of Brí’s 10-track debut album Hide amassing over 100,000 Spotify streams, and receiving widespread national and international acclaim, we now await a highly-anticipated Brí x BENJAMYN double headline show in Whelan’s on July 14th.

“I’m so excited to release our song Illuminate. I heard the early beginnings of Ben’s beat on Instagram. I was so compelled to write a song to it that I messaged him straight away; luckily he was up for a co-write. Both of us were going through our own ‘uphill battle’ at the time. Illuminate fuelled us to overcome those struggles and we hope it does the same for you.”
