Who is Aaron J?

AARON J is a 29 year old rapper turned alternative artist, originally from Galway, but is now based in Dublin. He started out his musical journey at a young age when he discovered hip hop, he began writing emotional and hard hitting lyrics about the life he was living and his struggles with his mental health which lead to his debut single “SHOW PAIN” which made a massive impact on both the judges and the audience as the song debuted on IRELAND’S GOT TALENT in 2018 and has since gone on to amass over ONE MILLION Spotify streams and his audition has been seen all over the world.

He has since gone on to release singles such as “BROKEN” alongside artist UPPBEAT as well as his solo track “BURDEN” both hard hitting tracks about relationships and mental health struggles.

However in 2020, he sound started to shift, whilst still maintaining that hard hitting, emotional, lyrical content, his sound shifted from hip hop to an alternative style, taking influences from artists such as NF, MACHINE GUN KELLY, LIL PEEP & more releasing singles such as “WHEN THE PARTY’S OVER” and “WITHOUT YOU” having a more pop punk feel, he also has tracks like “ILY” and “HEARTS DON’T CRY” to give listeners that early SoundCloud emo rap feel and to top it off, there are tracks like “LIE” and “STAY” or even “DECEMBER” that capture a semi-acoustic feel to them.

There really is something for everyone in his music, and this is a show you absolutely DO NOT want to miss.
