A.Leigh, a Dublin based act formed in 2016 started her solo musical guise in City Hostels and open mics, performing acoustically to the bellwethers and aficionados of the burgeoning Irish music scene.
Despite being initially signed as a solo singer/songwriter, Aleigh released quite early on that she was more comfortable within a full band setting which allowed the variety of her self penned songs to alter between heart wrenching ballads, jaunty rhythms and vivacious guitar driven alternative rock. Her gothic blues noir style has been likened to artists such as Nick Cave, Tom Waits and Nancy Sinatra. In 2017 A.Leigh was joined by Sean Kavanagh on bass and more recently Davey Macmanus on keys and Tiziano Mollica on drums.
Named as one of Whelans ‘Ones to watch” in both 2017 and 2018, Aleigh has been a regular around the Dublin music scene and has more recently opened for iconic Irish acts such as Brian Kennedy, Freddie White, Bagatelle and Christy Dignam.
Her debut album, Self Made Sorrows is due for release June 10th 2022.
