Alex Gough is a 20 year old Drummer/Producer/Rapper and member of the influential ‘Anomaly’ collective. Hailing from Waterford, Ireland Gough is one of the most promising artists of the current thriving Irish music scene. Drumming since the age of 6, he quickly became a well-respected master of his craft and soon turned his hand to producing while also attending Cork school of music.
With 3 brand new tracks all written and produced by Alex alongside fan favourites ‘Breakfast’ and ‘Step To Me’, 80% is the first time he showcases his incredible drumming skills on a record with huge amounts of clout. ‘INTRO’, ‘I Remember’ and ‘Dear SJ’ all have live drum’s recorded by Gough in Dublin at brand new ‘The Clinic Studios’.
In such a short space of time, Alex has attracted attention from around the globe with his genre spanning sound, while also garnering plays in his native Ireland across the likes of 2FM, Today FM, Beat 102103 and WLR alongside support from BBC Introducing and charting at #2 on Amazing Radio with ‘Breakfast’ in the UK.
2019 has seen him take the project to the live circuit with a brand new 4-piece band, with Gough front and centre on drumming and vocal duties. This 4-piece Hip Hop/Jazz experience has taken the live circuit by storm with the unique live sounds of Alex Gough’s production.
