Today, The Sons of Southern Ulster announces a special headline show at Whelans, Dublin, 23rd July 2021. Tickets will be available from from Friday, 24th September at 10am.
The band’s second and latest release Sinners and Lost Souls is now available. It features artwork by legendary artist Claus Castenskiold whose work has adorned such iconic albums as the Fall’s Perverted By Language, and Mother Juno by the Gun Club.

The band has received praise from RTÉ, BBC Radio, Irish Times and many more.

As the band members are spread around the world (USA/Australia/ Ireland) touring is difficult and the band are thrilled to announce a Dublin date in the Summer of ’22.

“Their magic lies in a total grasp of the literary genius of the Emerald Isle and the cleverest and best of the nation’s post-punk acts…9/10” Vive Le Rock

“Justin Kelly tells wonderful stories that are located at the intersection between cultural inertia and edges of progress. Irishisms and place names abound, yet the scope, the vision, is universal…4/5” Irish Time

“Sons of Southern Ulster’s 2016 debut laid the template for the Fontaines Dogrel….its follow up is darker, with gritty guitars and lyrics evoking a world of alcoholics and abusers” Sunday Times
