‘A journey between Jazz, Neo Soul, Italian Music and Brazilian Rhythms’

On Tuesday 29th of August the founder and curator of the entire Lulu’s Jazz Club series, Luisa Annibali with her Quintet, takes the stage presenting some of her original music Lulù is the nickname of Luisa Annibali, an Italian-born singer and songwriter living in Dublin and performing both in Ireland and Italy. Very active in the jazz community she recently got her BA in ‘Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance’ from the Dublin City University.

Her music naturally compound different styles of music, exploring Jazz, Neo Soul, Funky, Brazilian music, and Free Jazz.

Indeed, it is the encounter between people from different cultures and musical influences that makes her music and her performances so unique.

All the compositions are written by the leader, and many arrangements are written with and by the guitarist of the band Johnny Batista.

At Lulu’s Jazz Club Luisa Annibali Quintet will present a mixed repertoire of original compositions and some of her favourite Jazz, Brazilian and Italian songs.
