With her independently released, debut indie-rock EP: “Ordinary Matter” (streamed over 76,000 times) earning acclaim from sources such as Hotpress, Nialler 9 and The Irish Times, Last Apollo (a.k.a Lucy Rice) has gained momentum across streaming services but it is ultimately her astounding live shows that has lead to the loyal cult following Rice has steadily cultivated.
Last Apollo effortlessly commands the attention of any crowd and ensnares them with her haunting lyrics and uniquely raw vocal style.
Recent performances include: Primavera Pro, Irish Music Week, Pro Weekend Fest, TILT and Trinity Ball. She has also performed three headline shows in Dublin, a poetry/prose infused concert in the Cultural Centre, Paris and a headline show at the Windmill, London.
In October 2023, she began the release of a new wave of songs beginning with the single ‘Just Tonight.’ These new songs indicate a clear step away from her earlier indie hits as Rice continues to carve out and explore a unique style of songwriting darker and more emotive than ever before.
