Dunluvly are an Indie Folk band from Dublin, Ireland. Originally the solo project of Shane Dunleavy, the band has taken Dunluvly’s sound to new heights.

They now boast an impressive roster of musicians, including Christian Conefery, Mark Duggan, Aisling Fitzgerald, Karen Garvey, Aidan Gray and Tommy Adams. They also perform with larger arrangements that include artists Ryan Fahey, Naoise Mac Chonghaill, Mark Garvey, Eddy Blake, John O’Connell and Arjun Desai.

They performed to a sold-out Whelan’s on the 27th of December 2023, teasing some of the new EP ‘Flow’. On the back of this success, lead singer Shane ventured into the RTE studios in January 2024. Here, he played Hammer Fingers (released May 24th 2024) live on air and discussed the band’s future plans on ‘Tea With Toshín’.

They rounded off January with a performance at ‘Ones to Watch Extra 2024’ on the Whelan’s Main Stage. The second single from their upcoming EP was released in February 2024.

‘The Spire’, a personal and political journey through the Dublin of today, was featured on RTE 2fm and Bored City Blog.

The second single, Hammer Fingers, is an emotional live recording reminiscent of Hozier’s Cherry Wine.

The release of the EP ‘Flow’ is led by a chilled UK Hip-hop-inspired track that addresses the experience of writer’s block and the art of pushing through.

The band relocated to Wellington, New Zealand at the end of 2024. Here the project has begun a new record, with the fi rst new single landing on the 20th of June 2026 titled ‘Home Safe’:

Releasing a single written about the struggle of living 20,000km away from so many friends and family, we are very excited to be returning to Ireland to play it during our fi rst tour at home in 2 years.

Dunluvly’s single ‘Too Late’ was used by Surfl ine in their short fi lm ‘Out Front – Ireland’ as a soundtrack to showcase Ireland’s most prevalent professional surfers. Additionally, Shane produced the original soundtrack for the fi lm ‘Where Will We Go’ which will screen at the Disappear Here Film Fest and Inheritance – The Environmental Festival. 2023 boasted debut performances at Whelan’s ‘Ones to Watch’ festival and Electric Picnic’s Trailer Park, off the back of their fi rst national tour.
