Whelan’s Upstairs

Ciara Dalton is a young emerging singer songwriter from Tallaght in Dublin. Having released three singles in the space of two years, Ciara and her band are looking forward to the launch of her debut EP ‘Dancers & Dreamers’ in Whelans Upstairs Venue on the 5th of March.

Ciara’s music is influenced and inspired by a number of female country and folk musicians, such as Patsy Cline, Emmylou Harris, Brenda Lee, Dolly Parton, and Loretta Lynn. Ciara’s songs, which fall into the category of alt-country, captures the feeling and heart of classic country music, in a way that sounds new and fresh. Focusing on storytelling, creative melodies, and captivating lyrics, she writes about themes of heartbreak, home, love and belonging from the perspective of a young woman in contemporary society.

This is an exciting year for Ciara. While putting the finishing touches to the ‘Dancers & Dreamers’ EP (featuring stripped back acoustic versions of four of her songs) Ciara and her band began recording songs for a forthcoming album release ‘Blurry’ which is set to be released toward the end of 2023.
