Zoe Clarke is an 18-year-old musician and songwriter hailing from West Dublin.

Deemed as one of Dublin’s hottest emerging talents, Zoe is launching her debut EP ‘Safe & Sound’ with a first headline show at Whelan’s upstairs venue. Released through Bearfire Music (Patricia Lalor, now with Warner Music, RUNAH, Martin McDonnell, KTG, Duke Dimez) the EP contains 4 songs. 3 unreleased tracks along with Zoe’s successful debut single ‘No Matter Where You Are’, inspired by her godson Samuel, who was born a year ago with a complex chromosomal problem that has left him with profound physical and mental disabilities leaving him unable to sit unaided or communicate in any way.

The song gained significant coverage in national online and print news, touching people all over the country, and a video of the song featured on Independent.ie reached tens of thousands of views.

Zoe started playing the guitar at five years of age and her musical interests have grown since. Her influences include Coldplay, Billie Eilish and Ed Sheehan, to name a few.

Zoe recently performed intimate gigs at The Art Cafe, Dublin, and renowned venue Mother Reilly’s in Rathmines. She is also a regular busker on Dublin’s Grafton Street.

Support on the night comes from Beardfire label mate Lauran Beth, who herself is making a name as one of Ireland’s top young songwriters, and building a following through her two original released singles, her youtube covers and delightful social media personality!

‘Safe & Sound’ is an accomplished and mature collection of songs ranging from folk to pop produced by veteran producer David Virgin and his sons Rohan Healy and Al Quiff at Beardfire Studio, Dublin, who in their careers spanning over 70 years collectively. They have worked on stage or in studio with the likes of Cat Power, Nick Cave, INXS, John Cooper Clarke, Mary Black, Billy Bragg, Mundy, Leslie Dowdall and others.

‘Safe & Sound’ is out May 1st 2020 via Beardfire Music
