NOT SQUARES & PERCOLATOR

_ Main Venue _ Seven Quarters returns with its last club of the year and goes out with a bang with a long over due return to Dublin by Belfasts Not Squares who have been busy refining their unique brand of disco-pop sensibilities into a seamless stream of danceable grooves ready for release in Spring 2015. Their new album ‘Bolts’ is produced by Tom Fox and features a host of new tracks progressing their palette of arps, yelps, bass and drums. This is the follow up to their critically acclaimed debut album released by legendary Dublin label the Richter Collective in 2010 which lead them to them to Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, Latitude Festivals, recording a BBC Maidavale Session for Huw Stephens, touring Japan in 2011, and the UK and Ireland numerous times. Dublin based Percolator will also be on the last double A side from the club this year. They specialize in the alchemical fusion of motorik beats, lush sonic textures, chiming strings and androgynous porcelain vocals. The band are at the peak of their substantial live performance powers at present following a recent line-up tweek which saw the addition of thunderous low end and a multitude of ‘in-the-zone’ facial expressions via John ‘Spud’ Murphy. A recent string of blistering live performances largely featuring material from their burgeoning debut album (slated for release in the new year) have been steadily building anticipation towards its imminent release. So come to the last Seven Quarters of 2014 before we rush and hide in the suburbs and countryside for too much eating and drinking with the family.
