TUPELO
Tupelo are an exciting, new, original, acoustic roots act consisting of 5 members. With an eclectic line-up of instruments which includes banjo, guitar, fiddle, saxophone and double bass, Tupelo’s sound is fresh and unique in today’s world of endless electric outfits. The band have been working hard over the past year, playing all over the country and bringing their exciting live shows to the masses. Appearances at several festivals and playing support to some of music’s biggest acts such as Booker T, Imelda May and Damien Dempsey, have further enhanced their reputation on the scene. Also having a Top 10 single, ‘Ca Bhfuil Ar Scoil?’, in the Irish Charts helps reinforce that old cliche, that the band really are ‘ones to watch’! Tupelo are due to release their EP, ‘Dirty Money’ this summer, and with more festival and support appearances on the horizon, 2010 promises to be an eventful year for the band.
‘I’ve had the pleasure of working with Tupelo a great band from Dublin. They have a wonderful sound, great musicianship and fantastic songswriting. They have a rootsy sound of great mixtures from blues and country to trad’
